Orlando Bloom Movie 'The Good Doctor' Gets PG-13 Rating on Appeal

The Good Doctor, a new film starring Orlando Bloom, has successfully appealed the R rating it was originally assigned by the Classification and Rating Board and is now rated PG-13. In the psychological thriller, directed by Lance Daly, Bloom plays a first-year medical resident who becomes involved with a teenage patient, played by Riley Keough. The movie, which had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, was first rated R for "some crude sexual references." But after the film's producers Jonathan King and Julie Lebedev argued their case before the appeals board, the independent production was given a PG-13 rating for "thematic material, disturbing situations and some crude sexual content."
